THROWBACK FIS SEM 1 (MMMC)

Assalamualaikum,

I realise that this is sooo late because even now, I am in my end of fourth week in Sem 2 of FIS.((BY THE TIME I POST THIS IM LIKE IN THE MID OF SEM 3, SORRY) So if you don't know, I am currently a still a student, now, as a Foundation in Science student at Melaka-Manipal Medical College. So I have never did once, post an update or an insight on how life has been going here and honestly though, it was GREAT. I've met a lot of new friends and I've learned a lot just by being friends with them. again, so GREAT.

So I might start with the moving in day, like, what happened and everything. So on the registration day, the first thing I was required to do is checking in to my hostel room. it was probably like 9-10 in the morning at that time, I went into the registration place, lined up, and when it was my turn, my name was nowhere on the list. Hahahaha! Turn's out that my name was 'dropped' somewhere but they gave me a room anyway.

My room was on the third floor and I had A LOT of stuff, and that day, there was only my dad and I. We got lost finding my room because my room was at the far end of the hostel, which at that time, was disappointing, but now, I'm happy about it because it's very quite here. SO I unpacked my stuff, cleaned my room a bit, and then me and my dad went out to buy some more things that I haven't bought. Then, later at 12 or something, we had an orientation that I didn't even remember what, and there is where I started to get to know other people.

People who know me know how much I hate orientations because it was usually tiring, packed with unnecessary activities and stuff, and took a whole week but I was actually okay with this time's orientation because it didn't start off too early, minimal activities, decent talks from lecturers and was only like 3 days! I didn't enjoy it but I didn't hate it.

Then the next week, all and every class started and it was a lot of catching up to do for me because I didn't do any Science subject for 4 years. But the lecturer's were great and their lectures made it easy for me to refresh back everything and it was amazing.

Oh yes, one thing anyone wanting to enroll in Manipal FIS should know, YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY ANY TEXTBOOK THAT THEY OFFER. like seriously. On registration, they'll give you a list of books that you 'need' to buy which cost RM300+ but just DON"T buy it because you'll never use it. Your lecturers would advise you to just print their lecture slides and that will be more than enough for you to score exams. If you still are willing to buy books or anything, buy it from seniors because they would sell it with a much cheaper price and they'll throw in their last notes and answers for tutorials that they did and that is very helpful. Oh, but you do need to but Mathematics textbook but you buy it only directly from the lecturer.

So I think this post is long enough, for now, I don't quite remember much anyway, so I'd probably write more regarding life in FIS after this. Anyhow, thanks for reading and bye !
